Less searching. More experiencing.

ONO / UX & UI DESIGN

Ono is a mobile-first platform designed to simplify how people discover and book restaurants, events and activities.

By bringing everything into one place, Ono explores a more seamless way to make plans, from finding inspiration to securing a booking.

01The challenge

Making plans shouldn’t feel complicated.

Discovering somewhere to eat, finding an activity or booking an event often means switching between multiple platforms.

Ono was developed to explore a simpler, more connected experience, bringing discovery, availability and booking into one place.

The challenge was creating an intuitive interface that could accommodate different types of experiences without making the journey feel overwhelming.

02The approach

One experience, from discovery to booking.

I designed Ono around a straightforward journey, making it easy for users to explore what’s available, find something that interests them and move naturally towards booking.

A key consideration was balancing inspiration with functionality, allowing users to browse freely while keeping important information and booking actions easy to access.

01Discover

Explore restaurants, events and activities in one place.

02Explore

Find relevant information and availability without unnecessary complexity.

03Book

Move from discovery to confirmation through a clear, connected journey.

03The design

Making discovery feel effortless.

Ono’s visual direction focuses on creating an engaging but intuitive experience, where imagery, typography and considered layouts work together to make browsing enjoyable.

The interface needed to feel cohesive across restaurants, events and activities, creating familiarity while allowing each experience to have its own personality.

Through design exploration and refinement, I focused on clear navigation, visual hierarchy and a consistent booking experience.

04The outcome

From an idea to a complete experience.

Ono developed into a cohesive, high-fidelity mobile app concept that brings experience discovery and booking together.

Designing the product from the initial concept through to the final interface strengthened my approach to creating connected user journeys, organising information and balancing functionality with visual design.

The project reinforced the importance of looking beyond individual screens and considering how every interaction contributes to the overall experience.
